Vinny Garr

Vinny Garr was a shady figure with dark-colored hair and somewhat blackish eyes. He had a medium sized rat which was the color of a sandy beach on a stormy day. The rat perched on his shoulder with great arrogance; thinking of a day when Vinny would be his pet rat. The rat jumped down from Vinny's broad shoulders to see that he was about five and a half feet tall with bony hands and muscular arms. He showed that be felt to be very important, as if he was the sixth most important financial advisor in the universe. Bending down to retrieve his rat, Garr did not seem so important... His rat could almost describe him as being small and looking quite worried. Although when Garr stood up, he revived his muscular form and then again looked again like a very important person, which he absolutely was not. If you truly knew Vinny Garr, you would know that be has had at least a dozen one-year jail sentences and one three-year prison sentence, though most people didn't know that. Including his mother, Emmaline Garr, who was a dear sweet, most unlike her unlawful son. Emmaline truly loved Vinny and felt that he could do noting wrong...usually. Over the course of his life with his mother, he had been sentenced to six one-years in jail. Yet still, Vinny's mother loved him. And again, I must say...usually.

A New Story!

I was inspired by AJ Ducier's story, and decided I would write. Here is a sneak peak of "Running Free" By Ella T (I didn't mean for that to rhyme!)

My name is Candara. I have no idea how my mother thought of it, or even what it means. I am a horse. I’m a beautiful female, 7 year old horse, chestnut colored Arabian. To you, 7 may be very young. But horses only live for about 35 years. So technically, I’m a teenager. I live in the Arabian Peninsula. My best friends, Verdana and Gigi, were racing down Gilmer’s Hill. We were having a blast, on this hot summer day! As I thought to myself, I might as well join in too, an ear piercing neigh interrupted my thoughts. “Gotcha!”  Yelled Gigi. “Gigi, the worldwide known trickster of everyone!” I shouted back. “Guys…” Sighed Verdana.

How to take a screenshot

Definition of 'Screenshot': An image created by copying part or all of the display on a computer screen at a particular moment, for example in order to demonstrate the use of a piece of software-Dictionary.com   Ok, now that everyone knows what it means, let me tell you how to do it. Open up a photo editing program or, you can open up PAINT, MICROSOFT WORD, PUBLISHER,  POWERPOINT, or another program. I prefer publisher, because you can move the picture around. Then go to where you want to take a screenshot of. Make sure it is exactly how you want it! Then press PRINT SCREEN which, is usually, in the top right corner of your keyboard. Mine is right before my number keypad. Next, you go to the program you opened and on your keyboard you can press CTRL then V, or you can just press paste. Then, magically, your screenshot will appear! If there is unwanted things on your screenshot, crop it. I know you can crop on POWERPOINT AND PUBLISHER, but I'm not sure about the others. Chester Strikes Again!

For those of you that don't know Chester, she is my pet girl guinea pig. And if anyone was wondering why I gave HER a boy name, it was because I liked the name. That is the one and only reason why I named her Chester. But, in my point of view it fits her quite well. Very well, actually. I will insert 2 videos and 2 pictures. If you're wondering, on one of the videos, why on EARTH I would take a video of my room, it is Chester squeaking. The speaker is on the back of the camera, so it would get better sound if I did that. So I did it. Okay, who cares about introductions? You? Well, not me that much. So let's get to the pictures and videos!

New Pictures On "Other"!

On the "Other" page there are pictures of the OSC (Orlando Science Center) of most of the animals there. There is 133 pictures total and 121 from the Science Center, so it may take a little (or long) time to load, depending on the device you are using.

New News!

There will now be a "Reading Material of the Week"! Readers and BookStars will enter their reading material (e.g. magazine, poem, book, newsletter, PowerPoint) , that he/she wrote. If not enough people enter there will be a newsletter of mine or a older thing that my friends wrote. There will also be "BookStar of the Week" when there is enough BookStars. Both of them will take place on Wednesdays, since I get out early from school.

Sorry I haven't posted a drawing in FOREVER. (Well, maybe not FOREVER but you get the point. Not in a loooooooong time.) Giant Snail thought he needed a vacation. He thought a trip to the beach would be nice. “I wonder if Kutie Kat or Mystery Snail would come with me?” he said out loud. “I should go ask them!” Giant Snail exclaimed. And he went off to ask KK and Mystery if they could come along.

Giant Snail meets Kutie Kat

One day Giant Snail was bored. He tried playing board games. No luck-still bored. I thought they were supposed to cure bored-ness he muttered to himself.  So he went outside to play. But…no luck-still bored. But then he saw another snail. Who is she? Did she just move to Snail land? He thought. “Hi! My name’s Kutie Kat Snail! What’s your name?” Kutie Kat yelled. “My name is Giant Snail! Did you just”- “Hi Kutie Kat! Mystery interrupted. You just moved here. You live at 432 Slime Street. My name is Mystery Snail!” Mystery yelled to Kutie Kat. “How did you know I was new? How did you know I moved into the house at 432 Slime Street? How did you know my name?” Kutie Kat asked. “Oh, I just know. Things that are like a mystery just come to me.” Mystery replied. “Oh now I get it. Since your name is Mystery Snail you love solving mysteries and things like mysteries.” Kutie Kat said. “Um, Mystery you know you interrupted me, right?” Giant Snail suddenly said. “Oh, no I didn’t Giant, I’m so very sorry.”Mystery replied. “It’s OK Mystery you answered my question that I was going to ask KK.”Giant said. “Who’s KK?” Kutie Kat and Mystery asked. “The first K is for Kutie, the second K is for Kat.” Giant explained. “Oh, so you were going to ask Kutie Kat the question I answered, I get it now.” Mystery said. “Hey let’s go to meet the other snails! They will want to meet KK.” Giant exclaimed. “Great idea Giant, but I don’t think we’ll be able to do it because I need to unpack my things. You can help me if you want, then I can go to meet the other snails after I finish un-packing.” Kutie Kat said. “We’ll help you.” Giant and Mystery said together. “You are such good friends to me!” Kutie Kat exclaimed. “Let’s go!” exclaimed Mystery. Before you could “Super Slimy Sweet Silly Shilling Soup” Three times they were finished. The first snail they went to meet was Happy. He was the president of Snail Land and Snail Island. He thought Kutie Kat would be a very good Mayor of Snail land. He also said Mystery should run for mayor of Snail Island because on Snail Island there is always a mystery to be solved. Then Happy told us to visit Sweet the vice president of Snail Land and Snail Island.  They went to visit her. She said the same thing Happy said about mayors and stuff, but she also told Giant he won the annual “what your names says about you” contest. “I love Snail Land!” Kutie Kat yelled. They met all the other snails. Everysnail became very good friends with Kutie Kat, but Giant was her very best friend. And it turns out that Happy was right. Kutie Kat is now mayor of Snail Land and Mystery is now mayor of Snail Island.  Three months after Kutie Kat was mayor she asked Happy to make Snail-mas an official holiday like the humans made Christmas an official holiday. Happy said yes. It was December 18, 2011 only 1 week until Christmas for the humans and Snail-mas for the snails! Hyper was getting very hyper, no make that he was going crazy hyper on Snail-mas eve! Mini decided to write about his first official Snail-mas eve. Here is what he said:

December 24, 2011

Today is my first official Snail-mas eve and I am already 9 years old! Hyper Snail is even more hyper then me! Tomorrow morning I wish to see: a science kit, a fish, a very bright flashlight, all of the A to Z mysteries, a new art kit, and a surprise under my tree. I also thank Kutie Kat for asking Happy if he could make Snail-mas an official holiday. I cannot wait until Snail-mas!  Mini Snail

The clock read 5:56. “It’s Snail-mas!!!” Mini yelled. Papa Snail came into his room. “Son do not yell other snails are still sleeping!” Papa said quietly. “Ok Papa, but I’m going to get up to look in my stocking.” Mini replied whispering. “OK but be quiet.” Papa said.

“Yummy! Santa Snail left me some candy! And a new pen and notebook!”Mini whisper shouted. “Oh my…he brought me a giant dictionary. I’ve been wanting one for years…I could use it for writing in my journal. I’ll write what Mini and Snail mean.” Mini whispered. Here is what Mini wrote: (With his new pen and notebook.)

I’m using my new giant dictionary to see what Mini and Snail mean.

Mini (noun) – 1: very short or small. 2: smaller version of something (something that is small in comparison with other things of its type, especially a minicomputer or a miniskirt.)

Snail (noun) – 1: crawling organism with shell (a small organism with a coiled shell and a retractable muscular foot on which it crawls. Class: Gastropoda) 2: slow-moving person or thing. (somebody or something that moves very slowly) 3: a slow-moving mollusk that has a spiral shell into which it can draw itself for safety and that can live either on land or in water.  Mini Snail

Giant decided to invite all the snails to his house for Snail-mas. Everyone had a great time, and everysnail had a great time. Kutie Kat and Giant are best friends. Merry Snail-mas Snails! Well…

Giant Snail and When the Garbage Cans Attack

In Snail Land all the snails were snug in their beds, when they were awoken by a terrible sound. THWINK! THANK! THONK! “WHAT COULD THAT SOUND BE!?” yelled all the snails in Snail Land. One brave snail came out of his house to find out what it was. That snail was Hyper. He saw what it was and called everysnail to tell them a garbage can was ATTACKING! “We must do something!” exclaimed Mini.

On Snail Island everysnail got the snail call there too. Well there wasn’t exactly “everysnail” on the island, because only Sweet was there. But, anyways everysnail got the message.

Back at Snail Land, Giant Snail was talking to the garbage can about why it was here and what it wanted. He said he was here because he was on a mission and it wanted 100 bowls of trash and 2 bowls of algae and wasn’t leaving until he got them. Over the months the snails got the stuff they needed, so far over 5 months they had gotten 1 bowl of algae and 50 bowls of trash. But that wasn’t enough for the garbage can. He wanted it faster! He brought in some more cans, so the snails would speed up.

Sweet, the snail on the island was getting stuff on the island too. She pretty much had to. I mean if all snails didn’t pitch in the island & the land would get smooshed by the cans eventually. 

In 8 months the snails had 75 bowls of trash & 1 ½ bowls of algae. Did I mention snails love algae?  On the 10 month mark of collecting the snails had everything they needed for the cans to leave Snail Land. So they filled their UFO with the stuff and left.

The cans headed towards Trash Planet to give their leader the stuff they collected. WHOOO… the UFO landed on the dusty, mucky surface of Planet Trash. Their leader took the stuff from the trash cans and identified them, suddenly the trashy ice cream truck showed up. All the trash cans dropped their stuff and ran to the truck. Easy! Easy! yelled the driver. 5 trapes a cone! Get em’ now!

“Ah ah ACHOO!” “Oh how I hate having a cold.” exclaimed Sweet snail. And why now?  Do you know why? It’s because my absolute FAVORITE event of the year is coming up! The Spring Super Sweet so Delicious Totally Fantastic Awesome Carnival   is coming up! And even when you thought it couldn’t get any worse it’s The Spring Super Sweet so Delicious Totally Fantastic Awesome Carnival’s 100^th anniversary!  Bad right? But it gets EVEN worse. I have to think of more candies for my shop even now! Hmm… butter bars? No.  Coco Bar? Sure! Why not? “I’ll send an e-mail to Mini to see what he thinks!”

Here is Sweet’s e-mail to Mini:

Mini, do you think you’d like a Coco bar? Does a Butter Bar sound disgusting? WBS (Write Back Soon) Sweet

On Planet Trash the trashlings were all eating their trash ice cream except the trash cream can. He was counting his trapes.

1,535 trapes! Unbelievable! Amazing! Astonishing! Shocking! I’m ranked 21 out of 100 but I think I’ve set the record for most trape earning! He immediately went to the trash cream shop. Why? To report to the trash cream headquarters located inside of the trash cream shop! He told the headquarters everything how much trapes he made, the location, what he was selling, what time, and how many people bought trash cream. (Precisely 500 trashlings) The headquarters officially told him that he broke 2 records! The 1^st record he broke was the number of trashlings. He broke the record by 129 trashlings! Then he broke the trape earning record by 456 trapes!

“Snail Island its paradise, Snail Island its paradise, slips and slides ride and ride, all at Snail Island!” Hummed Happy. “What are you doing?” asked Mystery “Oh, nothing.” replied Happy. “You’re doing something. Like you’re taking a walk, humming Snail Island its paradise, Snail Island its paradise, slips and slides ride and ride, all at Snail Island!”Said Mystery. “How did you know?” asked Happy. “My name’s Mystery, Happy. I like mysteries. Now do you get it?” said Mystery. “Oh yeah, I mean of course I get it!” said Happy a bit embarrassed. “I’m going home, OK?” Happy randomly said. “But Happy you carry your home!” exclaimed Mystery. “My non-traveling home!” yelled Happy as he slid away.

“To Snail-land in 10…9…8…7…6…5…4…3…2…1…0 - Blast off!”  Yelled the trashlings.

“Snails of Snail-Land and Snail-Island…” announced the trash cans. “We are very, very sorry for demanding trash and algae from you. You don’t deserve to be treated that way. So a gift from us saying sorry-200 bowls of algae.” Continued the trash cans “Thank you, Thank you so very, very much! We forgive you!” yelled all the snails.

Giant Snail and the Zucchini

Giant Snail was roaming around one day when he saw a zucchini. He didn’t see any other snails that would claim this tasty treat, so he ate all the zucchini. Then he left. Down the street Mystery Snail was picking flowers. Mystery Snail came home surprised that her delicious zucchini was gone. Who could have taken my zucchini, she thought.

 Back at Giant Snail’s house Giant Snail was going to take a nap. Eating all that zucchini made me sleepy… he thought. “Yawn, I had a very good sleep.” said Giant Snail. “Maybe I should take a walk!” he exclaimed.

Back at her house Mystery Snail was still trying to figure out who ate her zucchini. “I should make a list of suspects!” she yelled. Well I know Mini Snail didn’t do it so I should cross his name off. And Sweet Snail is too sweet to do it.

Now, Happy and Hyper were taking walks just as Giant was. And they all happened to be walking by Mystery’s house. Happy was the first one to pass, and of course he was carrying a happy tune. “Do you have a moment?” asked Mystery. “Of course!” said Happy. “I was wondering if you passed by my house today, Happy?” questioned Mystery. “Nope, not in the past five days.” said Happy. And how can you prove that?  Just ask Sweet she’ll tell you. OK. Bye!

On Giant’s walk he was seeing wonderful things: flowers, butterflies, dragonflies, rainbows, and even finding Snail Smackeroos.  Giant was so, so, so happy. He was probably the happiest snail in the world! He would jump and jump if he could.

Now Hyper was approaching Mystery’s house. She made sure to clear out the furniture. You don’t want to know how hyper Hyper is. Could you come in for a sec Hyper? Sure I would!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  See what I mean about him being so hyper. Did you pass my house this morning, Hyper? NOOOOOOPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Okay you can leave now. THAAAAAAANKSSS!!!!!!!!!!! BYE!!!!!!!!

Now it was Giant’s turn because he was coming near Mystery’s house. Could it be Giant? She thought. Or am I wrong? “Well here is the moment of truth.” Hi Giant, can you come in for a minute?  Well…… Okay. Hmmm… thought Mystery why did he hesitate for so long? Could HE be the zucchini thief? “I was just wondering if you passed my house this morning.” “Um… well…yeah.” More hesitation, she thought. Did you see a zucchini? Yep. Did YOU eat a zucchini? Maybe. I need a yes or no. Well …. Yes. I’m sorry Mystery I did not know it was yours, I can give you another one if you like. No thanks, Giant you gave me a mystery to solve, and that’s what I love to do. Well…
